Jordan Lane Contracting Ltd. is based out of North Vancouver, British Columbia. We serve clients in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland area as well as the Sea to Sky Corridor. Jordan Lane is a general contracting company providing services in the residential and commercial construction industry.

From a new home on a bare lot to a tenant improvement with the clock running on your lease, every project runs through the same team, the same standards and the same single point of contact.
Building a new home is a big undertaking, from preliminary design to completion. As an experienced and award winning builder, Jordan Lane knows how to navigate each of those steps. With BC Step Code requiring new homes to meet net zero targets by 2032, building for efficiency and to current code commands knowledge, experience and trust.
Renovations mean working with old spaces and structures while applying new techniques, then blending both together seamlessly. A great renovation should look like a new room in a newly built home. With hundreds of renovations under our belts, the Jordan Lane team delivers a polished new look to your old space.
Tenant improvements are different from a new build or a home renovation. Once you get keys to your space, the meter is running on rent and expenses. Timing is everything, so we build out your space swiftly and confidently. You focus on opening, we will handle the construction.
Laneway homes, also known as carriage houses, add value to your property and create potential cash flow, from rental income to a suite for an aging parent. They can be added with little to no disturbance of the existing residence, and our own Home on the Lane won Best Small Scale Custom Built Home at the 2021 HAVAN Awards.

Having had Chad and his team redo our exterior walls previously, we hired them to redo our floors and main bathroom. Some unexpected discoveries, like the previous owner putting flooring over top of asbestos tiles, were handled professionally and with minimal extensions to the timeline. Very responsive to changing plans, they did a great job. I would hire them back again.
At the beginning of 2012 we were fortunate to be introduced to Chad Walmsley from Jordan Lane Contracting. Since then he has done a couple of projects for us, the last one in October of 2021. The quality and detailing has always been incredible.

Renovation
in His Blood
Chad jokes that he grew up with renovation in his blood. His father was a well known realtor and his mother, with a design background, would purchase and renovate every home they lived in. Chad came by the profession easily.
He came out of carpentry school into commercial construction with a large firm, has extensive training and experience with water damaged buildings, and spent seven years with the top restoration company in the city. Chad was also a 2010 Olympic contractor: he built the Whistler composting facility, bridges for the cross country trails, and worked on the lodge and other structures in the Callaghan Valley, along with reinstalling the 2010 Olympic countdown clock.
Over the years Chad has built and renovated everything from float homes to spec and custom homes, laneway homes, and even a tiny house on wheels.
